Lawg Entry #3 - Ode to Coach Gordon Bombay, Esq.

I discovered the other day that the law library stocks its shelves with "legal" movies. As I was checking out the titles, my eyes fell upon one of the great legal thrillers of our time, the classic Oscar winning motion picture, The Might Ducks.

This has to be one of my favorite John Gresham movies. Of course it has to be in a law library's "legal" movie section. They mention that the main character, Gordon Bombay, is an attorney in like the first 5 minutes of the movie.

Anyway, I thought it was just terrific that the law library carried this movie. You know I'll be checking it out after finals. If there are any copies left...

Here's to you Gordon Bombay. You were a great hockey coach, but an even better attorney.

Lawg Entry #1

People always ask me what kind of law I want to practice after law school. I usually make up some kind of ridiculous answer (i.e. cowboy law or game show host law), because I'm still trying to figure out a real answer to that question.

Fortunately I have stumbled across some gems in the law library that lend credibility to my lame answers. I therefore give you my newest answer, I want to practice "Space Law" after law school. So if you need someone to litigate any interplanetary disputes in the years to come, just swing by my offices.

Come to think of it, I bet that Emperor Palpatine was a space attorney...

Pattinson Sighting

I left my house the other day, and lo and behold, Pattinson himself was there chilling in a tree. Here's to you Pattinson!

Introduction

Purpose:

I have decided to finally enter the bold world of bloggerdom.

What does this mean? Nothing. Now there is just another blog out there with some dude's trite commentary about the world around him.
The reason I'm doing this is to document for my friends and family my little journey
through law school and life in San Diego.

The posts will be broken into three parts:
The lawg - where I fill you in on stuff going on at law school
The vlog - where I post video of noteworthy occurrences
The blog - where I post anything else I want.

I also thought that the first post of The Lawg Vlog Blog should be dedicated to Bob Loblaw himself. In a small way he was the inspiration for this experiment.
